In the statement below (hereafter “We”, “Us” and “Our”) represents Media Kurakani (www.mediakurakani.com).  We tell stories of media and the craft of journalism in Nepal its neighbors. Our slogan (news behind the news) clearly states our mission and endeavor. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Media Kurakani and all its social presence.

We may collect and process the following information entered or submitted by you:

• Your information that we learn when you use our website and its Content offered by Us;
• Information you provide when giving us feedback, content, Comment, Your social media activity via likes, shares, tweets, retweets, favorites, pins and whatsoever similar.

The original version of this Privacy Policy is in English language. Any translated version is just for your convenience and information. In case of disputes the English text shall prevail.

Note: Media Kurakani's Data Protection and Privacy Policy is based on Nepal's Electronic Transaction Act 2063 (2008), Chapter-2, Provisions Relating to Electronic Record and Digital Signature.  Sec 6: Electronic Records to be Kept Safely.

The Fair Use Rules

These are five rules or circumstances where you can “use” the contents (published works) of Media Kurakani without authorization:

1. Citation: You can use some portions of a published work for citation purpose without authorization. When making such citations the source and author's name should be mentioned.
2. Library and Archive: A public library or archive may reproduce the published work without authorization.
3. Teaching and Learning: You can reproduce, broadcast, exhibit some portions of the published work for the purposes of educational activities and to be performed in the classroom. However, all copies reproduced have to indicate the source and the author's name.
4. Website/Blog/Newspaper/ Journal/Book: You may reproduce, broadcast or communicate a small portions of published work in any form of medium with a view to informing the general public. However, you should mention source and author's name. Link back to original source is mandatory for websites/blogs.
5. Personal Purpose: You do not require authorization to reproduce some portions of any published work for your personal use.

Note: Media Kurakani’s Fair Use Rules are based on Nepal’s Copyright Act, 2059 (2002). If you wish to use the contents (published work) that go beyond these rules, you must obtain authorization from us.
